This article explains:

  • How to view Risks

  • How to edit Risks

  • How to close a Risk

Managing Risks - Viewing & Editing:

Viewing:

You can view Risks in a number of places throughout your account:

  • Risks dashboard - the dashboard is accessed from the left hand side menu panel

    • Click the Risk tab and selecting a Risk

    • Click the Assessment tab and expanding a control with a Risk. Click the View button next to the Risk to view the data

    • Click the Activity tab and and selecting an activity item relating to the Risk

Editing:

From any location that you are viewing a Risk you can then edit the details. Select a Risk to view a side panel displaying all information. Any open Risk can be edited.

To edit the Risk click the 3 dot menu in the top right hand corner when viewing the Risk side panel. You can edit the risk to add to or include additional information such as:

  • Assigned Users - this is a multiple select drop down menu and will include the name of all the users on your Risk Ledger account. This field is best used to track the Risk Ledger user who will be monitoring that Risk.

  • Risk Owner - this is a free form text field which allows you flexibility to enter the relevant name of the Risk Owner from your organisation. The name entered in this field does not need to be a user on your Risk Ledger account, as this is usually the supplier relationship manager, a manager or SLT member.

  • Notes - all Risks have their own section for private notes so you can add updates and action plans to the Risk so that updates are all in one place.

  • Risk Score - the Risk Score will change each time the likelihood and impact fields are edited and saved.

Notifications - Assigning a user and risk owner does not send any email or notifications informing them of this, so ensure internal communication is clear as to who is assigned to risks, what their tasks will be, and the escalation process to the risk owner for their visibility.

Activity Log - All Risks have their own activity log which shows all the changes that have occurred which gives you a comprehensive audit log to demonstrate during audits or reviews. This record helps keep teams up to date on what actions have been taken on a Risk and what still needs to happen.

Closing Risks

Once the appropriate action has been taken to resole the threat the Risk poses to your organisation (such as the supplier remediates the problem), you can close the Risk. A Risk can either be open or closed. Utilising the status will help you report progress that has been made to reduce supply chain risk.

To close a Risk:

  1. Select the Risk you need to close to open the Risks side panel.

  2. Select Close Risk.

The button will then change to Reopen Risk, allowing you to reopen the risk if needed.
