What Is It?
Certificate Discovery lets you check whether a supplier holds recognised security certifications directly from their profile, without needing to search external databases manually.
It's available on Unclaimed Supplier Profiles - profiles we maintain for suppliers who haven't yet joined the platform. Because these suppliers haven't completed their own profile, there's often limited information available about them. This feature helps fill that gap by pulling certification data from two accreditation databases we've integrated with: the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises (IASME).
Currently supported certifications
ISO certifications
Note: We retrieve certification metadata directly from accreditation databases. The certificates themselves are not stored or displayed on the platform.
How It Works
Running a Certification Check
Certification data isn't fetched automatically - you trigger it manually from the supplier's profile.
To run a check:
Navigate to the unclaimed supplier's profile page
Locate the Certifications card on the profile
Click "Start discovery"
Results will load directly in the card
Reading the Results
The Certifications card will display any certifications found, including:
Certification type (e.g. ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus)
Status - Valid or Expired
Further details, available by clicking through to the full certification record
Note: If a supplier later claims their profile, they can review any discovered certification data and choose whether to show or hide it.
