Connecting with Suppliers who already have a security profile on Risk Ledger

If a supplier you would like to review already has a profile on Risk Ledger, you should send that organisation connection request instead of an invite. Any connection requests sent or received will appear in your Action Centre.

How to send a connection request:

  1. Send your point of contact at the supplier organisation a primer email to inform them of the process.

  2. Once the primer email is sent you can then send the supplier a connection request on the platform:

    1. Search for the supplier in the "Supplier Search Box" on the top left hand side of your account.

    2. Click the "+ Connect" button.

    3. Enter your connection message and hit "Send Request".

💡Enter as many details as you can in your connection request message as this will help the supplier validate your request and speed up the connection being accepted.

Template Connection Request Message:

  • Hi - [Your Organisations Name] would like to connect with you to review your Risk Ledger assessment. Our contact at [supplier name] is [contact details - name & email], who we emailed on [date] letting them know of this request. Thanks, [Your contact details]

You should only send connection requests to suppliers that you have entered into a contract with, or when conducting pre-contract due diligence.

What happens after you’ve sent your connection request?

In some cases, your point of contact may not know who the users on their Risk Ledger account are. To help facilitate this request being accepted and get your point of contact in touch with the users on their account, the Customer Success team will follow on your primer email to your point of contact, to ensure that they are aware of who they should contact within their organisation.

These follow-up emails from Customer Success will loop your point of contact into an email with the Risk Ledger users, and provide information on how the existing users can either add your contact or accept your request on their behalf.

If your pending connection request is not accepted after a week then please use our connection request escalation process to follow up with your point of contact.

Risk Ledger Managed Profiles

Risk Ledger maintain profiles for 5 suppliers as these are very large enterprise organisations that do not respond to client questionnaire requests. These 5 suppliers are:

  • Microsoft Cloud Services

  • Google Cloud Platform

  • Amazon Web Services

  • Atlassian

  • Github

You cannot oprn any discussions or remediations to managed profiles as it is Risk Ledger who maintains these profiles. You can connect immediately with these profiles.
