If a supplier you wish to review already has an active profile on Risk Ledger, you should send them a connection request.

To send a connection request to an existing supplier, follow these steps:

  1. Send a primer email to your point of contact at the supplier’s organisation to inform them of the process.

  2. Once the primer email is sent, proceed to send the connection request on the platform:

    1. Use the “Search Bar” on the left-hand side of the platform to find the supplier.

    2. Click on the supplier’s profile from the search results.

    3. View the supplier’s basic information to confirm this is the correct organisation and select “Add Supplier”.

You will then be prompted to enter the details of your contact at this organisation. The details required are:

  • Your contact’s name.

  • Your contact’s email address.

  • A message to provide further information and context expressing your wish to connect with their profile.

Here is a template that you can use:

  • "Hi [Supplier Name], [Your Organisation Name] would like to connect with you to review your Risk Ledger assessment. Our contact at your organisation is [Contact Name, Contact Email], whom we emailed on [Date] to inform that of this request. Thank you, [Your Contact Details]”

Once you have completed the information form, follow these steps:

  1. Select the toggle to confirm that you have sent a primer email separately.

  2. Finally, select “+ Add Supplier” to send the connection request.

After sending the connection request, you will receive a confirmation that your request has been sent. The platform will then provide you with the option to view the supplier’s basic profile.

After selecting “View Basic Profile”, you will be able to view the supplier’s overview.

From this page, you can perform various actions before the request is accepted, such as:

  • Adding private notes and files.

  • Opening and managing risks.

  • Assigning users to the supplier.

  • Applying labels.

  • Setting the criticality, confidentiality, and PII (Personally Identifiable Information) tags.

You will then be able to access further information such as the suppliers assessment and data once the connection request has been accepted by the supplier.

If you would like to get an overview of the pending, accepted and rejected connection requests, you can do this in the Action Centre under “Connection Requests”. Additionally, you will have the option to cancel the request if you no longer wish to connect.
