One of the main aims of Community is to drive collaboration and information-sharing between clients. One of the ways Risk Ledger is enabling clients to do this is via the 'Community Signals' feature.
At its heart, Community Signals allow you to see how a shared supplier amongst your community ranks in line with your own position on them.
Where do I find Community Signals?
When added to a community, Community Signals appear automatically on the Supplier Overview page of any supplier you have in common with another member of that community.
You'll be able to see the insights at the top of the page, as shown below:
The insights you'll be able to see are:
How many other clients within your community have approved this supplier?
How many risks have been opened and closed against this supplier within your community?
Are there any common controls that stand out as a recurring issue?
Is this supplier a potential concentration risk based on their proliferation through your community?
What can I use Community Signals for?
The information provided within Community Signals can be used for a number of purposes:
It shows how well-secured that supplier is against the rest of your community
You'll be able to see if other members of the community have approved that supplier, giving you an idea of their security posture before you've reviewed their profile
You'll be able to note the risks that supplier has open against them already
You can identify if the supplier presents a concentration risk, allowing you to minimise single points of failure in the supply chain
What else can I do?
If you're particularly fond of a supplier, have had a good experience with them and their security posture is in very good shape, you may want to share that information with the Community.
To do so, from the Supplier Overview screen navigate to the top right-hand-corner where you'll see a purple prompt saying '+ Create Post':
Clicking this will open the following screen:
Much like an ordinary post, you'll need to create a title and add a description. Note that the topic is already pre-selected as 'Suppliers' when sharing a suppliers information.
You'll be able to see what you're sharing about that supplier above. This can be a positive comment or a not-so-positive comment depending on your experience.
π‘ Please be mindful of what you post about a supplier. Ensure it is not libellous or offensive, and any negative opinions are based out of fact rather than personal experience.
Once you've written your post, hit the 'Post' button and your Supplier Post will now show in your Community page;
You will also be able to see if you share a supplier with any other members of your community by heading into Suppliers then All Suppliers and scrolling to the far right where you will be able to see the number of peers for each supplier, as shown below:
We hope you gain valuable insight from your community using the Signals feature. If you have any questions, please contact your Community Manager.
π‘ If you have any questions or need further information that we haven't covered, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@riskledger.com, or click the Chat icon in the bottom right corner of your screen for assistance.
