What is the client-side of the platform?
Risk Ledger has two modes:
Supplier-side - where you manage your own organisation’s security profile and assessment, and respond to requests from your customers.
Client-side - where a customer organisation can review supplier profiles, send connection requests, set risk context (e.g., criticality and assessment scope), and track / manage risk and engagement across suppliers.
A self-service client trial lets a supplier organisation “taste” what the client-side experience looks and feels like for a limited window (2 weeks), so you can understand what your customers see and what “good” looks like when reviewing suppliers in Risk Ledger.
During the trial, you can connect to RL-managed supplier profiles (profiles maintained by Risk Ledger) to experience client-side workflows from end to end without needing to onboard real suppliers.
How can I begin a client-side trial?
You can start a self-service client trial from inside the product by toggling into client mode at the top left of the page:
Once you start the trial, you’ll be guided through a short onboarding-style flow inside the platform:
You’ll see a 4-step progress menu on the homepage that helps you move through the key actions
The same area includes an in-product Loom video explaining how to send connections to RL-managed suppliers
A progress indicator (top-left) shows where you are in the flow and lets you jump back to the main menu
What features are available to me?
Within the self-service client trial, you can use a practical subset of client-side functionality - enough to understand the end-to-end “client reviewing a supplier” journey.
The core actions you can complete include:
Connecting Requests
Send connection requests to RL-managed profiles (so you can explore what it’s like to connect to a supplier as a client)
Adding client-side “context” when connecting - when you connect to a supplier profile in client mode, you can configure the context that drives how you review them, such as:
Criticality levels (how important the supplier is to your organisation)
Framework size / scope (the size of the assessment you want that supplier to complete)
Reviewing supplier compliance and posture - once connected, you can explore:
The supplier profile overview (how information is presented to a client)
The assessment reviewing experience (including navigation and filtering)
How clients interpret answers and evidence at a control/domain level
Opening discussions to ask questions or request clarification
Exploring client-side workflows around risk review / assessment progress and outcomes

How can I explore full client profile options?
If you want to explore the full client experience (broader supplier access, deeper configuration, and expanded capabilities), click the Book a Demo button at the bottom of the Getting Started checklist:
