What is Smart Assessment Reviews?

Reviewing suppliers often involves a lot of manual, repetitive work: understanding a supplier at a glance, checking controls, validating answers and evidence, and identifying areas that need closer review, additional context, remediation, or risk escalation.

Smart Assessment Reviews is a new set of AI capabilities built into the assessment review flow. It helps reviewers quickly understand an assessment, identify where closer review may be needed, and move through supplier reviews faster. The AI can summarise and suggest, but reviewers stay in control of what action to take.

What is Supplier Summaries?

The first capability in Smart Assessment Reviews is Supplier Summaries.

Supplier Summaries gives reviewers a short, AI-generated executive summary of a supplier's profile, to help reviewers quickly understand where attention may be needed before they dig into the assessment in more detail.

The Supplier Summary is added to the top of a supplier’s overview page, with following information:

  • general summary of a supplier’s profile and security posture

  • specific details around compliance and how they relate to respective controls

  • highlighted risks and suggestions of how to address them, e.g. where to raise remediation requests, which controls to review, etc.

  • the ability to copy, download and share the summaries with other members of your team

Please note, this feature is currently in early access only.

How do I use Supplier Summaries?

Navigate to a supplier’s profile and the Overview page. Here, you’ll see the Security overview section at the top of the page. Click Summarise profile to generate a summary:

Once generated, you’ll be presented with the following information:

  1. A general Security overview with topline information about the supplier

  2. Compliance details which share insights around compliance and the link to specific controls

  3. Risks and Suggestions that provide insight around key risks and suggestions on how to address them

  4. The ability to copy the summary to your clipboard or export it as a PDF

  5. The ability to minimise the summary and offer feedback as to whether it’s useful or not

How do we ensure this feature is safe and reliable?

This feature has been designed with security, transparency, and reliability in mind.

Customer data is never used to train public AI models. AI-generated outputs are grounded in relevant supplier information, can be traced back to their source, and are subject to ongoing quality monitoring and evaluation.

Before release, features undergo extensive testing for accuracy, consistency, and resilience against misuse, with continuous improvements informed by both internal review and customer feedback.

While AI helps streamline analysis and review, users remain in control of all final decisions and actions. Supplier Summaries are there to help guide your team's attention, not replace its judgement.
