How do I share my security profile?

Your client doesn't need to have an account on the Risk Ledger platform for you to share your assessment with them.


Share your security profile outside of the Risk Ledger platform:

The Share feature enables you to give visibility of your security profile to clients who do not currently have a profile on the Risk Ledger platform.

When you use the Share feature, it will generate a secure, shareable link that you can send to your clients.

The shared link will give the client access to a page with the responses on your security profile.

This page will not give the client access to uploaded evidence on your security profile but clients will be able to create a Risk Ledger account for free to access this additional information.


We highly recommend emailing your main point of contact at the client organisation to make them aware that you will share access to your security profile via a Risk Ledger link and that they can review further information by following the prompt to create a Risk Ledger account for free. We have provided a template you can use for this below.

We would be happy to share information about our security programme for your assurance. Due to the large number of similar requests we receive, we use a platform called Risk Ledger to share a comprehensive assessment of our security programme with evidence to showcase how we implement each control. We do not answer excel based assessments. If you connect with our profile on Risk Ledger, you will also be able to continuously monitor updates to our security programme over time.

You will be able to review our assessment immediately and you can access our supporting evidence by signing up to Risk Ledger for free.

Creating a shareable link to your security profile

  1. Navigate to the "Sharing" page on the left hand side menu panel.

  2. Within the "Sharing" page you can create a new share link by navigating to the gree "+ Create Share Link" on the top right hand side of the page. This will give you the option to create a shareable link with some further instructions about how to mange this secure link. You can send this directly to a client's email address or copy and paste an existing link.

  3. You are also able to copy and deactivate previously created links on this page.


Sharing your security profile

Once your organisation has a completed security profile on the Risk Ledger platform, access to review it can be shared with any other clients who conducts security due diligence against your organisation.

Suppliers on the platform have reported that adopting Risk Ledger to respond to security due diligence requests has cut their sales cycles significantly by being able to respond within hours rather than weeks.
