If you have noticed that a supplier you're reviewing does not have the required security controls or policies in place, you can send a remediation request to your supplier to request they review the requirements and make any required updates.
How can I raise a remediation request on a suppliers answer?
To launch a remediation to request a formal action by your supplier for a specific control, by a certain date. For example, if your security policy requires a supplier to implement a certain control which they have not currently implemented or if a control is out of date and needs to be updated.
You can raise a remediation request by navigating to the supplier's assessment. To do this, select Suppliers > All Suppliers and choose the relevant supplier.
Once you have selected the relevant supplier, you will be viewing the suppliers overview page. Navigate to the Assessment tab and select the relevant question that requires the remediation.
Once you have opened the relevant control/question, you can click Request Remediation, complete the form by adding the details required and a deadline to complete and select Send Request.
💡Prior to sending a remediation request you may wish to start a discussion with the supplier to find out more information about their security.
💡Your supplier will receive notification of the remediation request. If they need assistance as to how they implement the security controls, they can access our Knowledge Base for further advice.
Once the supplier has responded to the remediation request, you will receive a notification email from Risk Ledger and the update will also be displayed in your Activity Tab to review and accept the changes the supplier made to close out the remediation request.
